Took this shot a couple of weeks ago in my floormate's insanely messy room, and looking at the most recent challenge realized I joined this site a little late :)

Pictured is Pat, an art major (you can almost see some of the art supplies under that dresser-high pile of clothes). The shots are taken on different days, with the center shot being a cleaning-in-progress and the other two taken a week later, when the mess overwhelmed the room again. And by cleaning, I mean separating clothes into two piles--his own and his roommates.

It's rather blurry and saving for web crunched some of the image quality and for that I apologize, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

edit:
While I'm thinking about triptychs, I also found this picture on my computer. These were taken with black and white film (so I guess it's a little out of place on a digital photography site) several months ago, scanned in and put together digitally (my scanner is really old so a lot of the details and vibrancy were lost). The physical photos are framed exactly as pictured in this image and hanging on my wall...my cat died a few months after these were taken. The irony is overwhelming (and I laugh so I don't have to cry).

Every time I'm in that room I start trying to clean it, and he tells me not to bother because I'm wasting my time... :D

i especially like the third shot in the messy room series -- the guy has a serious air of defeat about him! it would have been interesting to see progressively wider angled shots in this, from narrow shots that just show the coloured clutter, to the last shot as you have it.

the cat shots are nice too (sorry about your loss), but you're right, these captures could use a bit more tonality.

thanks for sharing these.
