Yes I agree about the photo chances. I am hoping to get down south to watch Leigh play next season and get some action shots. Unfortunately they don't seem to play it in Yorkshire!

You should have come up for our GTG, Steve. Maybe next time?

Maybe next time, or maybe we could do a GTG at Smiths Lawn in Windsor Great Park?

I think that is madatory at Smiths Lawn, but no Pimms. There are some great photog places around here...the new Ascot Racecourse Grandstand and the racing, Windsor Castle and the Great Park to name but a few.

Windsor Castle is lovely and I haven't been to the Great Park for years. Do you have to travel into London for work or are you local?

I'm local, work a mile from home. Used to work at Ascot Racecourse...13 years. Now work at large private estate, used to be John Lennon's house, where Imagine was filmed.

The White Room! I remember that well! As a lifelong Beatles fan I am in awe of you working in such a place!

John Lennon gave the house to Ringo. There is an urban legend that JL buried something in the grounds...we haven't found it yet!!

Ringo has a house in Cranleigh (nr Guildford) where I used to live and he was really good at being involved in village life! He was my favourite Beatle when I was 13 and when my daughter and I saw him a couple of years ago ( at a polo dinner coincidentally), I pointed him out to her. Her immediate response was "Mum, he's little bald and ugly - how could you!" I must admit looking at him now I had the same thought! Mind you he was very friendly and generous to the charity I was representing and his wife is absolutely stunning.

I have all Beatles albums, all alternative tracks and a few rare ones...my mate who lives down road from me has anything and everything Beatles.

ditto with the LPs. In fact I have just been looking into selling my Please. Please Me album. It seems to be worth in the region of £4000! Could just pay towards a good holiday! I managed to see the Beatles when I was 12 at Hammersmith - not that I heard a lot through the screaming! The Yardbirds with a little known guitarist called Eric Clapton was playing with them. I still love music although my tastes have widened a bit - now I listen to everything from rock to classical. The only music I dislike is opera - can't stand not being able to hear the words!

I agree, I am very open in my tastes. It goes from heavy rock thru to Myleen Klass & Beethoven. £4K could buy you a very nice dSLR+lenses!! Must admit, I don't get my rocks off to opera...

Yes it could buy a great camera but I really want to go places to take the shots! John and I used to travel a lot but since I resigned my job we can't afford it so this would be a way of making it up to him and getting me some sunshine!

Don't know Myleen Klass - I'll look her up!

Have you heard of Ed Alleyne-Johnson -plays electric violin? Just found him and have really enjoyed his music.

He is quite amazing live. He uses his violin to set down tracks then builds on that track with the next layer and so on., All of it is live - no backing track. Hope you enjoy hearing him.

I'd love to do that! :) At least, if I owned my home! lol I wouldn't wanna do it to the landlord's place. ;)

I'd love to win one of those HGTV homes too
