Alienyst, congratulations! I hope the new lens brings you great joy and even better scores. Karma is not always so prompt; what a heartwarming story. Thanks for sharing.
I'm reminded of the TV show "My Name is Earl." |

I am really happy for you Alienyst. I'm also proud of your original action. I hope one doesn't have to do with the other. If only the "good" are rewarded, we are all likely in trouble...
Looking forward to seeing the pics from the new lens. Which did you wind up getting again? |

So, then anyone that has ever told a fictional story is a liar, right? The point I’m making is that if the purpose of a lie is to entertain, then it normally isn’t called a lie.

Congrats, Alienyst! I'm glad Karma has paid you a speedy visit. You seem to a good, sincere person, though, and so I'll bet this "payback" has actually been for some time coming.
Can't wait to see the shots you get with your new lens. Enjoy!

OK, I think I've got this figured out. Chris robbed a bank and had to figure out how to keep his mother from being suspicious when he showed up on DPC with an expensive new lense.
Using the DPC forums, he hatched a brilliant plan to sucker in a bunch of Pollyannas who believe in Karma. By easing us into believing that he had done a good deed; he paved the way for the grand finale. His "good deeds" were rewarded with a windfall just about double his initial finding. Who would question such a crafty plot?;)
Or...he fabricated the whole story for attention.
Looks like you've been outed Chris. Though, I'm not sure what your true motivation for such a concoction would be? Since I'm one of those Pollyannas, I believe you got your Karmic due.
If you want to do another good deed, just send that lense my way. That's exactly what I've been wanting. JK!
Congratulations, and I'll be watching your portfolio for some more awesome macros.

| Do you have a list of 260 things that you did bad to people? Are you going to start making up for them? Are you a fan of Carson Daly? Is your name Earl Hickey? |

| greatandsmall - you missed one detail. His motive was to get people to look at his profile for reasons other than his bottom ;) |

ROFLMAO!
Maybe he'll use that new lense to take some ribbon winners and push that nekkid picture off the front page. Although, we all know he just took that to get attention too;) |

Congratulations! That's quite a find. Instead of showing us a picture of the winning ticket, just provide a link to your checking account!
Of course we'll need the password... |

Excellent choice for your first prime. May more good karma descend upon you every time you use it.

I wish I could get that pic off the profile page. The lense won't do that for me, I still have to take the pictures. But at least now I can get back to taking more of the type/style of pic I have always liked to take.

Thanks! I thought so. I wanted to get this lense from the beginning but I knew if I did I would never even try to learn how to use the zooms. I have come to like the EF-S 17-85 quite a bit. |
