Look what I found! Looks like this will be a great resource--and I get to watch while it is developed!

Quoting from an article I received:
"George Eastman House and International Center of Photography (ICP) announce the creation of photomuse.org, a web site devoted to the ongoing collaborative projects conducted by the two institutions....The plan is to have 200,000 imagges online by the end of 2006."
...
"The collection component represents a searchable database unifying the collection materials from both museums. Initially several thousand photographs will be accessible through the web site; this number will grow gradually with the site also encompassing other collection texts - biographies on photographers, exhibition histories, specialized bibliographies, and curatorial text for photographs used in exhibits."

Whew... I was SOOOO glad to see this wasn't a joint effort between the ICP I was thinking of and Kodak. ;)
