Do you need to post photos some were special to have them Critiqued?
I am going to enter the challenges I just do not have the correct photos yet.

a thread offering comments for comments in the "individual photography discussion" forum, with a thumb link (use the icon of the small square with the big square behind it, and paste the numeric id of the photo only in the caption box) is your best bet.

You gotta give some to get some baybee.

I don't know if I should comment on pictures yet. I think how hard it was to get the photo means a lot a picture taken in the wild were you had to crawl to get into position means more to me than one taken at the zoo. I want to hang around awhile and see how everybody sees things so I don't make a stupid comment about something I do not understand.

I wouldn't worry about making a stupid comment. You are the viewer, when viewing other's photos. You should remember that. How you interpret the photograph should be just as important as how anyone else views the photograph.

Go through my profile and comment away whenever you feel like it.

When you submit a photo for a challenge, there is a check box that says "if you would like an in depth critique of your photo' or something to that effect. If you check this it will be put into the queue for the Critique Club. Also if you view your photo during a challenge voting period, this same checkbox appears beneath it.

Other than that, after a challenge voting period has ended, you can do as suggested above. or if it is a photo that you are not entering in a challenge, you can ask for a critique anytime by posting a link to the photo in a thread and asking.

I second what deapee said... YOU are the viewer and as such have a valid opinion of any photograph that I post here (why else would I put it up for public view?). ANY feedback or opinion you are willing to provide is valuable feedback to the photographer (or at least it is to me). So feel free to peruse my portfolio and comment on anything that compels you to do so. I'm always happy to return the favor. :-)

And I know it's been said many times before, but in case you haven't heard it or it hasn't sunk in yet... Providing feedback on other people's images makes YOU improve. A LOT. A lot more than receiving comments actually (at least IMHO). So, the more you give here, the more you receive...
