I went to the istock organized minilypse in NYC last weekend as a side excuse for going home for the weekend. Here are some of the shots I took there, comments and feedback is really appreciated!

I am a HUGE fan of your work but allow me to be the first to say that I don't really like these. They just aren't working for me....

Not sure really what it is. They lack the usual nico sense of art, perhaps because they aren't a self-portrait. I must also admit that you are a better model. I don't know what the story behind getting this model and these shots is but I know you are capable of so much more as evidenced by your other work as well as aspects of these such as the colors and poses are excellent. (and how was that for a run on jibberish sentence) For a first model shoot they are certainly good and I imagine you didn't really have the time or set up to do exactly what you wanted. I look forward to seeing more of your model work in the future.

Have you tried OMP?

I really like how you used the wood on the elevator. It's a little hot above your subject, but I like the overall composition.

After browsing your portfolio for the first time I have to say that I am impressed by your use of color. I've added you to my favorites and I'll be checking to see what else you come up with.

Not too hot on the model's expression, although it fits the third one pretty well. But your use of color-contrast is just great, especially in the last two

Did you add the two background that weren't the wood in? If you did, that's some great 'shopin sir.

I can't put a finger on it, but there's something I don't like about the model herself. The photo's of her are great, I just don't like her look is all.

edit - I think I got it, eyes and cheekbones are great, jaw a little too jutting to be "photograpically" proportional to the rest of her face, and the douwnturned poutly lines on her mouth are a distraction.

Please God don't let her read that. :-/
