a member of the critique club? I have emailed twice about it and have never got a response (first about three weeks ago and second yesterday). Does this mean I am not worthy of being a member? If so, just what is the criteria?

You have the highest vote cast of anyone I've seen here, so maybe they think your a softy;-)

There are people here with a higher average vote cast than me. That should have nothing to do with providing a critique on a photo at all. It only went above 6 with the latest roll over.

As an example and the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Joey Lawrence - his average vote cast is 6.2xxx

I think it probably depends upon to whom you sent the PMs and time... I know Heather and Matt are two that often recruit and/or add folks to the CC, so be sure you send them a note about your interest. I don't think they have any set "criteria" other than wanting you to be an active member who is able to be objective and thoughtful in your critiques. I think I had to send them a link to the first few I did when I joined just to be sure I was on the right track. Seriously, if they let ME join, surely they will let you in the club. ;)

PM Heather or Matt just to be sure you're heard. :)

Apparently, not much. They let me "in"! ;-)
(I think I e-mailed Manic.)

I was kidding. Calm down...

I emailed to the links you get when you select it from the Community drop down. I believe Manic was the first one I sent interest to (he probably ignored it after the whole fanatics thingy) and the second was konador (the other link provided). I will PM those you listed. Thanks!

Would you and Joey please go and vote on my current entries? The need some help, score wise.

I got on the CC by PMing hbunch after reading this thread.
I am now a Club Member. I have done 3 critiques and have not been thrown out, that I know of, so all i can tell you is teh initiation might leave scars. So are you sure you're up for that? ;)

Scars bother me not. Having had over 400 stiches in various places on my body over the years I hardly think another scar will matter.

Is there a hell week with hazing? You know because hazing can be dangerous.

No hazing, but do mind eating worms?
I was told it was form the bottom of the Tequila bottle, but now i'm not so sure.
Oh yeah, you have to answer this question correctly: Do you accept Woody as the penultimate photographic subject and agree to vote all photos with a Woody a 10?
NO, you need not be sober when you do it. Well, I wasn't it.
It's a worm thing.
