WOW... Wow... Hats off to you - really incredible. You managed to keep it fresh, artistic, daring, creative, and engaging. Damn fine piece of work. Congratulations on a job VERY well done! (And thank you for sharing it with us!)
EDIT: "SUCCESS: mesmeraj has been added to your favorites list."

That was an amazing journey Elli.
This is the kind of work art galleries are made of.
Bravo. |

Fascinating images...
I have seen a couple of other projects supposedly like this before, but yours is head and shoulders over them in artistic sense.
Fulfills the voyeuristic tendencies with beautiful and bold art..
Many kudos to you and you are now a favorite... |

To be honest, when I read 'photo a day self portrait project" I thought 'wow, this could be quite some indulgence of one's ego" thinking of a particular person on this site. But it's not you and this wasn't an indulgence of the ego as these portraits are all creative and you often don't even use yourself as a dominating part of the image.
Great project, I hope it repays you in some form or fashion. Of course the gratification in finishing something like that is quite often satisfying enough. |

petrakka - oh it was absolutely self indulgent (i'm a virgo after all) but not in the way you might expect. I named the project life is not made up, because i wasn't going to fake it for the camera to look good. I tried to keep it as raw and real as possible. Of course sometims i used symbolism, and costumes and even ideas from challenges came into play (but sadly or not challenges sometimes impact on my life and the way i view things for that week).
Definately finisihing the project, and managing to stick with it for an entire year, gives me a feeling of accomplisment in massive proportions.
Shecoya - i really do believe everyone is a voyeur at heart - not the XXX not college girls website kind - just curious about how the otherside lives (or something). I don't think we should be ashames of that innate curiousity. Real life can be mudanely beautiful also :)
~twirls too~
Laurie - i still cant remember what i was going to say
Everyone - cheers for the comments and (favourites too!). |

Wow, that's a fantastic little (or really huge) compilation of shots.
Kudos to you and your persistence. I know I couldn't have stuck it out for a whole year. |
