Here's a first pass at the shoot I had today. I shot 256, pulled 25 keepers from it. Would post more but I just maxed my portfolio! :)

Very great shots Ms idnic. Great lighting! And that's a boatload of outfits.
Did I just say "Outfits"? I need help.
Very nicely done, ma'am. Very nicely done. You should be proud. |

Aweeee, thank you very much JP! I am so proud I could just bust! This was definitely my best overall shoot ever (more keepers).

Just noticed the 25 in 256 - that's a great ratio! |

Yuh huh! I'm amazed! I was worried that I'd have to stretch to get 12! (its for a calendar). Guess my planets are aligned or something lol

2 alien bees B400s, one with softbox, other with reflective umbrella. Softbox as key to the right and very near, other as fill farther back and slightly left. bg light is a "daylight" florescent bulf in a "plant light", it moves in almost every shot.

Okay, I'm not the only one who noticed that. Those are some great pictures, great poses, great lighting and the model is beautiful but the expression never changes from shot to shot. And while a beautiful smile it doesn't really seem to fit some of the poses or moods the clothes want to express, does that make sense?

G'morning world! Thanks for the coments/compliments guys! I was really worried about doing this shoot and am very pleasantly surprised that it came out so well.
Slippy, much of the wardrobe used was mine, but not the chaps, those are hers. lol
The sports jerseys are for her hubby cause he's an insane fan. The blue/white is actually his old high school jersey, holes and all.
These are unedited first pass shots, I will start editing today as work allows and when I can, replace these shots with the finals.

You are quite right about the expression. We did try some other looks, her most natural expression is this cheerleader smile (guess because she practiced it for years as a cheerleader). The shots I posted do not show all of the shoot (I maxed my portfolio space posting them) but I do have a few others with more serious expressions.

Looks like you had fun. But in some of the images, I believe you didn't achieve what you wanted to ( from your pre-shoot thread). e.g. pic 04 is the opposite of what you wanted to do. It seems to enhance what you were trying to avoid.
pic 22 I believe is a success. |
