I love the feel of this picture, the mood of it but the sky is lacking in my mind.. I think it could be a bit more dramatic perhaps with a bit of dodging and burning (if I understand it correctly)

My attempt at post editing was this.. which has its own mood to it but some of the detail was lost and I think I like the first picture better but again with the dramatic sky.. Anyone feeling creative? :)

POST EDIT> sorry I dont have alot of experience with post editing yet so I forget that the more information the better.. here is the original untouched:

Commented as they came in, now I see where you're going with them... I like the hues of the second, it made it moooodier.

My 60-second attempt:

Will try 90-second attempt soon.

Edit to say I'm not the best dodger/burner, more of a d-b hack.

Edit again
Did you PP the sky already? There's not too much to work with range wise (at least for hack-me) - a higher res might yield better results. Of course if heida came along she'd have this one ready for the Louvre in a matter of minutes.

This was a quick-n-dirty burn:

new layer - blending mode "Overlay"

Paint black on new layer with soft brush where you want burned. I just did some random on the clouds, a little in the water to try to match.

===

To dodge (which I didn't do)

new layer - blending mode "Overlay"

Paint white on new layer with soft brush where you want dodged.
===

Original original - lol :)

Edit to say: Beware!! Not Basic Edit Legal Technique.

Here's my attempt at it. Levels adjusted, contrast boosted, tiny bit of D/B, sharpened, desaturated, and slight red tint added.

Grins.. happily accepts the pause in the game for this :)

I lurve it.. truly. I like that the integrity of the original is there.. a few more colours and the sky is exactly what I was hoping for.. very moody :)

A little more subtle than Brad's, but the same general idea I guess.
