I am oh so tired of always having to choose between two photos for a challenge. I usually won't shoot for one unless it really strikes me and it seems that I always have at least two that I'm torn between. Then comes the headache... this one or that one.... that one or this one.... going over each ones pluses and minuses. Taking into account what I think voters will see that maybe I missed or is it moving enough or interesting enough or does it have more personal meaning to me that won't necessarily translate to others ... and this and that and the other thing.. UGH!!!
I swear I don't think I was ever this wishy washy until I started hanging out here. I find it hard to choose a cereal now while grocery shopping! Please tell me I'm not the only one swimming in this sea of second guessing and indecisiveness!!! :-)

Nah, you're not alone, you need to meet my husband, if I wait for him to make a decision I'll be old and gray and he'll be dead and I STILL won't have my decision, LOL :)
Deannda
I hear you, debating right now on the grain entry |

You are CERTAINLY not alone! LOL I've been debating with myself for the last 3 hours over whether or not to enter the ONE possibility I have for Grain. When I have more than one possibility, it takes DAYS!
BUT, lately I have been going with the one my gut tells me that I'm most satisfied with - and they've been holding their own in the scoring department. So follow your own instincts and whatever you do, don't listen to your family!!! ROFLMAO
Good luck! |

Go with your gut feeling. When I think too much, I usually end up with the wrong choice - when I go with my gut feeling, it often is the right choice.
And if that doesn't work, go with the one you most want to find out if it works or not. Or go with the most experimental, to see if it works (for the future).
But never, never ask your family to help you pick - it doesn't work :)

Are you kidding me?? My poor husband, I'm sure he's thinking "Where is the woman I married??" The one that could pick out her own clothes, could say something other than, Oh I don't care you decide. I'm fine with anything, when it comes to picking where to go eat. Heck I even had to buy two light fixtures the other day to have him pick which one he liked best because I COULDN'T DECIDE!!!! If I ask him again, what photo to enter I'm afraid I'll push him over the edge. I really never used to be this way, really... at least I don't think so. Maybe I was ... I'm just gonna sit here and think awhile. Don't mind me. :-)

Well, as long as you'll only send me one, cause then I'd have to decide on which one to use and then I think my head would just explode from all the pressure. :-)

just wrap it in duct tape first, so afterwards, all the pieces will still be where they can be reassembled ;-)

You could use a dartboard, or play inni-minni-myni-moe or say, "Una dori dori cuteri marca tu eri vira viron, saca la cuenta de 12 son" and then count to 12 and whatever picture you're thinking of at that moment, THAT'S THE ONE!!!

Good luck to you. :-) I like that "Una dori dori.... thingy" Ursula. But I'm afraid if my husband heard me start speaking in tongue, he'd have me committed for sure. Ha ha ha :-)

OOOPS!! Too late my wife made the decision. I had one for "light on white" and "delicate". I couldn't make up my mind so I made her do it. She went with "delicate". Should I unsubmit and go with the other? Decisions, decisions, decisions. I'm gonna go sit in a corner and chew my nails now. |

Hate to tell you ladies but indecisiveness is one of those signs of the menopause - I blame it entirely for me:-
1. spending 30 mins deciding on what to choose on a menu
2. changing clothes three times in the last hour before I am going out
3. standing in a daze in front of the freezer compartment in the supermarket
4. making sudden turns in the car without indicating
5. waking up in the night worrying about whether I chose anything correctly
etc
etc
oh yes and not being able to choose which photo to enter!
Mymost used words are" What do you think?"
P
:)

I sat there before the challenge ditherbating whether to enter the colour shot.......or the b/w.......or the sepia tones. Luckily I was rescued by someone coming to the door, had to go out after that and by the time I got home the challenge was about to start!
Not usually that bad but today was a day off work (Labour Day) and I had time to think!

Yes, it's that "thinking" that usually gets us into trouble now isn't it. :-)
