just a reminder to please only post thumbnails in the forums.

you can use the last button above the forum entry screen to add a thumbnail to an image in your portfolio.

Thanks!

I tried to follow the tutorial, but didn't quite get it right!

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Sorry but it is not clear how to do it. If I click on the "Insert Thumbnail" icon and post the URL, I kust get the info to show in the post. You would think that would do it automatically, otherwise why the icon? Do I need to make my own thumbnail for every picture I want to post? I am not having any luck trying to follow the directions in the tutorial you link to and have it work that way either. Perhaps a better explination would help. Thank you.

Those are beautiful images, Urusla! Is the tip on color modes here in the forums somewhere or can you - or scalvert - share it?

I like all of these, but this one is by far my fave:

The "tip" I was talking about is a note Shannon posted on one of his pictures, where he mentioned using sRGB colour mode instead of Adobe RGB. As I understand it, sRGB gives you less to play with in post-processing, but more colour to begin with (that's a very simplistic explanation, but it more or less works that way). I tried it on my D70, and he's right, sRGB really gives much more colour than Adobe RGB.

The last button above the posting box is for images hosted on dpc and you only need the image ID, not the entire URL.

If your images are hosted elsewhere then you need to create both the thumbnail and the full size image (unless the host creates thumbs for you).
