I use iPhoto without a problem, but if you want an alternative, iView MediaPro is the best organizer out there.

IMO, iPhoto is very photographer friendly. However, if you delete photos (move them to the trash) and then empty the trash, there is no easy recovery method available other than the serious file recovery options already covered above.

My two cents: let's say your entry comes in 6th and nobody has requested validation - you might have slipped by wihtout a DQ, but for this post. ;-) So you should just add to this thread that you miraculously found the one photo you entered and hold your breath. ;-)

On that note, if you don't recover it and you think it will place in the top 5 (auto validation request territory), I could release a pack of Trolls on your entry to bring it down a few notches. ;-)

heeheehee - just trying to brighten up the situation. :)
I do have my fingers crossed for you though.

I didnt read thru the posts but I too have iphoto & did you delete the folder or what? Usually all iphot pix are kept in a folder or one that you specify. Did you get a look in there?

i hope you recover your files. a score besting your 7 is a great thing. however, i tend to agree that it's more than the score but the original full size image that might be unfortunately lost forever. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you kelly. i've been in this spot before and it's not a good corner to be in :(

Hot dog! Saw the bad news just before I left this morning. I get back and all is well. I can stop with the pagan-goat-dance-of-image-file-recovery (which was rather difficult while I was driving).

Wooohoo Kel!

YIPEE - just found this thread.

So glad you recovered your mistakes. I'd have been really ticked off if I'd done that.

I dont use iPhoto I hate it cause with alot of photos I say more than 500 or 1000 its just to slow, take a look at Photo Mechanic thats a really good program to photos.
