It's a 48 hour challenge ;)
There will be a challenge set at 12am (server time) New Years Eve and we then have the following 48 hours to shoot & submit an entry.
It's for the members (I assume).
Here's hoping the challenge is "P*ss*d: Submit your best blurry snapshot of a bunch of drunk people" :)

Can anyone confirm this? I thought the speed challenges were for everyone? But then again it's completely probable that I'm mistaken.

One challenge per week (the Open Challenge) is open to all registered users of the site, paid or otherwise. Membership includes access to the regular weekly member challenges, plus any additional, special challenges. Special challenges include speed challenges like the coming up next week, as well as other ideas we're working on (possibilities include prized challenges and unlimited-editing challenges). These types of challenges fall under the category of additional features that were added just for members.
