Sorry, multiple images are not allowed.

You may not post-process your entry from or to include elements of multiple images, multiple exposures

That requires more than one image...so nope - don't think so. Nice thought tho! ;^)

Nope, can't do that. Be sure to read up on all the rules to save yourself from a future DQ. Any challenge that deviates from the rules will have a special icon and a description of what rule(s) can be broken in a given challenge.

Challenges with special rules are pretty few and far between.

You could always pull off something nifty with multiple exposures (in-camera), an extension tube and a tilt-shift lens though :)

I thought there are a couple cameras that can stitch a couple shots into a panorama in camera, which would be legal.

Does the pic have to be horizontal or can it be vertical?

I would think either is acceptable - many photography books I've looked at show examples of wide angle effectiveness both ways.

I would not count on scoring very high with a portrait mode shot.

I sort of like this one of mine in portrait mode. Shot at 18mm with a little crop.

jb - I'm afraid of that too, although I know you can do the wide angle in the portrait mode. I've actually seen some that were quite effective. I think it will really depend on the shot.

Good luck everybody.

Yup - there are some great shots you can take with a wide-angle in portrait but I believe the expectation will be to "see wide".

I took my shot at 28mm, my widest, but I didn't go for a typical wide angle shot. It might hurt me in the voting, but I like the pic so, oh well. :)
