I've jumped onto the dSLR bandwagon (finally). Though my 717 has been very good to me, today I betrayed it and bought a 20D! *does a little dance*

now.... CHARGE BATTERY CHARGE!!

The 20D battery charges real fast... we expect to see first pics soon! :-)

Oh, and... congratulations!

Talk about loyalty.

How does your camera feel being discarded just after it won you a ribbon :(

Well done on the ribbon and on the new camera.

congrats, cindi! time to head back to the koala house ;-)

so, is somebody going to inherit the sony...

Congrats, you will LOVE it.

What lenses did you get?
10/11/2005 07:44:59 PM · #16
Meet ya at the zoo any time, Skip! Think I'll keep the Sony as a back-up for now, maybe let my youngest use it some if she's interested.

ttreit, I got the EF-s 18-55 as a starter. I pushed my budget just a bit with the flash (420EX), remote release and 1gb CF card so the next lens will have to wait for now. Another good reason to keep the Sony handy until I have another lens or two.

congrats on the new camera. I just got a 20D last week and man its a big leap over my D60 and HUGE leap over my 707.

Shot more than 100 shots already! I am sooooooooo thrilled with the quality. Mostly snaps of neighbors (was a lil party going on next door), so not much to share. But here's a share-able pic of my stubborn and camera-shy kitty (you can see the attitude on her face can't ya?).

Can't wait to play with it in the studio!! :)

Congrats! Now you'll really start kicking butt (not that you haven't already)

:)

Can't wait to see what you can do with a better "tool" in your toolbox. Just wait till you start to crave new lenses, I just got my 4th and started saving for the next 2.. but they seem to get more expensive as you go.

Congrats. The 20D is a dreamworthy camera.

I don't know what your cash flow is like, but if you can find a jar and put 20 dollars each week in it, in a month, you will have the 50mm f1.8.

20 dollars a week shouldn't hurt your overall budget much, but it will help you if you need some discipline to not spend too much.

That's a great idea, Eschelar! I'll start my "wish list fund" tomorrow! :)

Oh I am so jealous!! I don't get my 20D until christmas!! COngrats to you though. Can't wait to see the new pics.
