Here are the the pics from the latest wedding I did with laurielblack back on September 11th. This was a small, poorly lit, country club wedding. Why do they always have to have such dark rooms? ;-)
Comments appreciated.

Stunning shots, as always with you guys! I think y'all did a beautiful job all the way around, I particularly love the candlelight shot of the room/tables with candles - it's beautiful.
I was relieved to see how many shots you had. I always have trouble paring my shots down to a "reasonable" amount. I usually end up around 300 or so. It always sounds like everyone tries to get the shots down to under 200, and I can never do that!
Thanks for sharing the gallery - I love seeing what you and laurie do with weddings!

There fabulous pictures!!! At least your wedding party wanted to have shots unlike mine!!! They had tantrums and cried about having there shots and once id placed them in the group certain people namely bridesmaids would always move and try and hide behnd someone. The place in which i had to work was awful, in the end i thought hey you want it like that you have it like that, i was sick of arguing. The lighting was bad, my flash was having a tantrum, id only been shooting around 15-20 minutes and they were saying how long now everybodies bothered and wants to go. It was raining cats and dogs outside, there was no room at the church front even for bride dad and bridesmaids. Oh and by the way this was my first ever wedding and probably my last..... I could cry now, sitting here fiddling with photoshop. Ill stick to something more comfortable with what i know, dogs and portraits. lol
Your pictures are great might i add.

I think the "Wide-Angle" dance floor shots are very cool!!
The Sigma 12-24?
Did your customers like the wide-angle photo's? Very original IMO..
Nice work you guys.. |

Wow Danny...your shots are wonderful (as expected) and I am quite impressed with the D2X this time...you did an outstanding job, especially considering the tiny space and the (really really) low light. I only wish my shots were as good; I'm afraid I kinda let you down a bit this time but my biggest problem is lack of a flash. I really love your formals...they turned out beautifully and the colors are gorgeous.
What I've got is here with some being only converted from RAW and others edited. I'm uploading more as I type this so it might be a few minutes before the gallery is available with all the shots. I had some noise issues with the darkness, so some are just not up to par I am sure. I hope that with some PS magic these will be workable for the bride and groom...they're sweeties. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with you again. :)

They haven't seen the wide angle shots yet, but I believe that they'll appreciate them. I like using the wide angle for the reception, gives more of a photojournalistic feel to the shots. Yes, that was the Sigma 12-24.
Thanks,

That's how I would want to shoot a wedding! Fabulous composition, colors, artistry. I left a few comments on some that really made an impact on me. I'll bet the couple will be thrilled.
The only thing that I thought could maybe have been done better were the shots of the actual ceremony. They are certainly technically fine, but I didn't care so much for the angle from which you were shooting. I kept wanting to see a shot from the back of the hall or something, and I never saw one (or missed it?)
Also...for the ones near the end where you were taking photos of the bride and her father dancing, were you up on a chair?? Or was there some other elevated spot that worked for you? I thought that made a great angle for those photos.

Yeah, the angle for the cermony sucked. Laurie was in the back and has shots from that angle. I didn't want to cut in front of everyone during the service to get a better angle, so I did the best I could.
The dance floor shots I did via the Sigma 12-24 while standing on the DJs big floor speaker. I will try to remember to carry a small step ladder for future weddings just in case i don't have a speaker to stand on. :-)

Ah ha! I see them. Interesting that they had an unequal (men vs. women) number of attendants. Good job, Laurie, in getting them all in and in dealing with that lighting. Dim, indeed! I do especially like your b/w of the bride's(?) parents.
Dang, I wish I could work with someone like you two! |

These turned out really well!!! Almost makes me want to go ahead and go through with it! (engaged for 7+ years)
Even though there were low-light issues I still think these turned out great. I really like how the bride and bridesmaids were sitting outside on the chairs in a line....turned out for sharp IMO.
