I went in a different direction with my real entry and thought people would like to see Denver with the Rockies framing the skyline. Others should add some too if they wish.

Nice scenery! I would leave more of the rock formation on the left in the frame. It seems that the foreground is a bit too contrasty. Also, there is a halo in the sky around the rock (feathered selection too much in post-processing?). All of this can be easily corrected from the original.

Great shot, I live just West of Denver and have not seen this view any better. Where were you when you took the photo? |

I really couldn't get the effect and colorization proper for entry (much along the lines of what ltsimring noted). I debated on the crop and settled on this one to maximize the four major elements: skyline, rock foreground, perspective, and sky. More rock would have left a smaller skyline and I thought it was small enough as it is. For those who want to know, this was taken at Red Rocks Amphitheatre around Golden.
