Those colours are in fact on a bubble that was panned rather quickly against a black background with a one second shutter setting . Since it was impossible to focuss I took a stab at the setting an went onwards. Other pictures I took clearly displayed a bubble or bubbles. None were great so I stuck with this one because it intrigued me.
It didn't seem to intrigue to many other people since it ended up second last. However the shoot was fun. |

I had a similar shot, and while I recognized that these were bubbles, I felt the shot itself was rather dull. And while I like negative space, I don't think your use of it enhances this shot. |

I think you suffered not only from people having a hard time connecting to the challenge, but also because your image was too small. There's a tutorial around here somewhere on how to size your photograph for this site if you're using photoshop:
