My prayers are still with all in Rita's path. We have started to get rain from her outer bands already, at 4pm on Thursday here in far EASTERN Louisiana. New Orleans city itself doesn not need rain right now... Not to mention all the people working on their houses in the suburbs... :-(

well since yesterday the cellular network here in Houston has been maxed out. It takes a long time to get ahold of anyone , land line or wireless.
But here is the kicker.... Time Warner Cable has shut my cable services off. I have phone, internet and cable TV from TWC. But it is working just fine and dandy at my sister inlaws house just 4 miles away from us.
My wife called and heard 3 different stories, but the first one she heard was that they shut the network down in Houston (no they didnt its working at my inlaws house just 4 miles away. The person that told her this is in Canada, but anyway, she also mentioned that TWC had to let their people evacute houston so they had to shut the system down.
I work for Cingular Wireless and feel this is a very bogus line. The wireless network does work just fine with out human tech haveing to look at the equipment. after 5 PM our switches are remotely monitored out of the dallas RNOC or Chicago. if they cant fix the problem, out call a tech to go fix it.
TWC is # 1 on my list and its not the good list.
by the way, Im using my the cellular GPRS service to access DPC
