Going through all my old slides to scan for alamy. What memories. This girl was very good to work with in a studio enviroment albeit a little messy. She listend to her trainer better than some of the people models I have worked with. Just thought I would shair the photo with you all.

I think it's a darn good shot - really surprised you were able to manage the beast in a studio environment, but it paid off. You got a great, crisp image with good color. Nice job. (And yes, warthogs are probably on the extreme end of people's likes and/or dislikes...) ;-)

If I rememember right I used a 20mm or 18mm lens on a Nikon F4 to exagerate the snout.

Glad you like it.

Nice shot, such a pretty model. My son saw it and immediately hollered out, "PUUMBA!"

When I was in school, for one of my portrait assingments, I had to shoot a portrait. I asked one of the graphic design teachers to pose for me and she agreed, on one condition; that she be photographed with her pet goat.

The goat was a cute little pygmy goat, but I still got hollered at for having livestock in the school studio. Oh well.

Are there many people with pet warthogs that want studio portraits done?

This was a long time ago at SCZ. Don't even now if they still have her or not.
