Ya know, after 6 months on this site (wow, has it really been that long?), I think it's finally beginning to sink in. I've said it a hundred times and encourage others to do it, but I haven't been following it lately, "Follow your own gut instincts." By doing so, you are already pleased and proud of the work you present AND you'll have a much better experience in challenges REGARDLESS of your score.

Feeling pretty blonde about now, because it's hit me really hard with my Branch entry. I didn't follow my gut (and have had a couple lately where that was the case) and not only am I not scoring well, but I'm not happy with the shot either. I have several challenge entries that I really like, but that bombed in scoring and didn't bother me at all.

So, my advice (once again to everyone, but most especially to me) is to trust and believe in yourself and follow your own gut instincts!

Absolutely right;)It is a learning curve though and you can see it in action everytime someone new joins.

Gotta agree with ya there. I decided a while back to stop forcing myself to shoot an entry and instead only submit pictures when I really enjoy them and am proud of them. I'm not in as many entries anymore but I've consistently done better since making that decision. Just have fun.

Yeah, I followed my gut on the HC challenge and the few comments I have so far have run counter to my instinct. Ah well - that's fine. I liked it!
