I unsubmitted this one last minute and switched it for another shot. Don't know if I made the right decision but I'd love feedback on this, peoples.

Makes me wonder what you did submit - a bit too centered, but still a great shot!
(almost looks like he's riding on a watermellon)

You weren't alone on the last minute thing Lee.
Had mixed feelings on using one of these:

I like this one that was taken for HC but can't justify it so had to put in a reserve.
Would it have got anywhere - I doubt it.

Not keen on the fuzzy horizon - rest looks excellent

Mine is more of a high contrast subject matter. Hope people see it.

If that's the shot you liked less, Lee, then you ought to have at least a top ten in this challenge. I like that picture a lot!

And David, knowing what I do about how people tend to vote on DPC, this will unfortunately probably be a frustrating week for you. Can you make the point very obvious in your title? Good luck! :-)

Tranquil: Love your outtake and I think it would have done well. Lucky for you you've made your decision final by posting it in this thread, huh? I'm still trying to decide between 4 entries. I like all of them very much. I'll post them here when I take a firm stance (or time runs out)

A pretty sweet looking spider but a bit out of focus.

I'm torn between two. But I'm sticking with my first impulse. My second choice would be good, but when I save for web, it loses impact. Otherwise it is 172mb, and can't be entered (still trying to figure out how to make smaller and keep its look). I hope I went with the right one.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that's indecisive around here. :-) I was down to 3, one that I loved and two that were probably better suited. But went with the one I love and posted the other two in portfolio so I'd stop obsessing over it. :-) Your shot is very cool Tranquil. Will be interested to see what you ended up entering. :-)

It's a nice crow, but I don't see it as being a potential winner, so take heart :-)
