Hi y'all..
I noticed some people were wondering if there is an organization that has the opportunity to offer housing to people who need help.
I called my local chapter of the Red Cross and they directed me to //www.hurricanehousing.org.
It appears they are mostly looking for housing in the nearby area - I'm in Oregon so I'd probably only be able to help someone who had a car and a way to get here - no doubt an unlikely scenario for the most part.
But! I'm still going to contact them and see if we can be of help - so for those closer to the destruction that are looking to help in this way, maybe this website will help.
One thing the fellow at the RC mentioned was you can't (obviously) offer someone else's housing, you have to own the property, and that they do not vouch for anyone going through the website, so you do have to use your common sense.
It appears your information - no idea what information it is - goes on a sort of message board and people will contact you via email. Once you agree to someone then you can take your information down. So, they'll keep sending you requests from people needing help until you take your information off.

| Massachusetts is pretty far away too but maybe someone would want to get far away. |
