| Some of us vote on first night by spitting the pics into two groups (like 6 and 4). So you can get hammered because a 10 picture is really only reading as a 6 on the first day (to be bumped later). Of course the 4s can drop as well, so it seems to drive pictures either higher or lower depending on whether you made "the cut" |

Your right. I tend to vote lower on the first nite dividing into groups of 1-3, 4-6 & 7+
Usually 7's bump to 9s or 10s, 4-6s usually go lower or higher depending on the 2nd or 3rd pass. 2's and 3's rarely change. |

My score is hovering aroung 6.04--which is about what I expected. I've got one of those photos that few people are going to "connect" with and say WOW! - but they think "eh, it's pretty good" and hit the 6 anyway. |

D AND L ?
Did I misinterpret the rules by not actually having an "&" ("and") in my title?
Two people told me that I lost 1 point for not having the "&".
I guess that it does say that but I didn't take it too literally.

wow I'm not doing bad, I really thought my shot would be very low, I had to stretch pretty far to meet D&L, and my one and only comment is a very helpful one that I can apply to all my next photos. Thanks!

Best challenge in a while.
Thanks for the comment terje. Unfortunately I'm at 5.9 so I think a ribbon is far far far out of the question with all the amazing entries. |

I KNOW my picture is not good but it was a one off shot that couldn't be repeated.Only entered it cos I couldn't miss out on the update button for another week (missed nudes and dairy).
Anyway I am amazed at the current 4.8 it's on - it doesn't deserve it!
And I've got 6 comments and only one is bad ( quite right too!)
