PS. Did I mention how happy I was about a picture of rain being in the top 5?

Michael- Are you saying that people needed to get their cameras wet in order to meet the challenge? My camera was wet and there were drop actually falling, can't see'em....but at the same time, I didn't realize that the description meant "hard rain falling on your head need only apply". Come to think of it the top three entries met the challenge perfectly by "being careful with their equipment" and NOT getting it wet. How smart were they?

I do not think anyone said hard rain. It is lighting that shows rain falling. Not an easy task.

The photos that won are very nice. I like all of them. Including the fourth one.

Are you guys still talking about what started this thread? I thought us thread jackers came in and took care of that. I figured this thing would be dead by now. Oh the power of speech.

Oh contraire! For it would be a crime to let such works as this slip quietly off the front page. And why, praytell, wouldst it be Slippy who wouldst have the honor of the final word with his overprocessed image of his brother? An image, I might add, that appears to have come out of the same camera as all the other images on DPC.

...wondering how long I can keep this up...

Well, it was more fun than that jury deliberation I had to sit through as partial credit for my psych 101. Then my damn roommate did dream analysis for part of his 101 credit. Every night at about 3:00am some grad student would phone to ask him what he was dreaming about. I was ready to kill him!

I certainly am. Notice the restraint? The lack of torch & pitchfork? I'm a kinder, gentler villager.

He got religion, you see, and now spends his time in daily devotions to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Ah, memories. My science-geek buddies and I would sometimes go to the coffee shop in the psych building. That's where all the hot chics were to be found. It didn't do us any good, though, as that was also where all the hot guys were.
