Ever have one of those "revelations" about how great an image would be? Then the next morning, you're like what the **** did I do?!?

Well, that bug bit me for the Nude III Challenge. I really wish it would leave me alone, and I really wish I could take back my entry! LOL Of course, there are those out there who would say that you never know when you'll get that comment that really turns the corner for you as an artist. (I doubt that will happen this particular go round!)

Anyway, just wanted to vent about how STUPID I was by submitting a shot in the "heat of the moment" (one might say). LOL Please tell me that there are others out there who have done similar things!

Did you get drunk and get all naked and stuff and do some self portraits? I know from my past experiences with going out dancing at clubs that some people's "sexiness" rapidly intensifies with each drink, at least in their own opinion:) However, the opposite can be said too, other peoples sexiness factor rises with each drink you consume. So, to summarize, get drunk and everyones sexy.

Yep. Don't even look at my naturally framed entry. Alcohol had nothing to do with it. Frustration did. But, on the good side or hand or whatever body part you might be showing, it will serve as a reminder for months to come... :)

I think everyone here has at least 1.

Let's just say that my decision making process was severely inhibited at the time and I will now be forever reminded of it... ROFLMAO

I've heard people talk about drinking a lot of alcohol...and I've heard that it leads to possible heated moments that would otherwise not transpire. But to pull out your camera during one of those moments is just brave!

What did she say? ...or was she too drunk to respond?

Did it involve a Feather Boa?

LOL - No feather boa... Promise. And I will say that no "unwilling" or "unforgivable" shots were taken - just a very poor choice on my part to take any at all.

The anticipation is killing me :)

Any day would be too soon, IMHO. I will be forever blemished - and my griping about it in a public forum probably isn't helping matters much! LOL

Nope. I just added this thread to my Watch list so I can remember to go back and look! ;^)

Oh well... I guess worse faux pas have been made here (at least I hope so!).

This is one of the best threads ever. Good luck, SJCarter!

I had to go look at every last nude entry, lol just so I could hazard a guess. One in particular stands out. Now to wait and see when the challenge is over if I'm right :)

ROFLMAO!!! Well, I'm glad that I've at least made something positive out of the experience! I'm currently at about a 3.6 (if you were wondering) and I'm sure that it's probably deserving of every tenth of a point! LOL

I actually got the brown ribbon once before (and almost a second time). I'm sure that this will be another one - but that's okay. I learned a GREAT deal about myself and my tendencies with this shot. Who knows, it might even turn out to be a blessing in disguise - I was getting a big head anyway with scores over 6.0. LOL (NOT!)

My condolences to you. I've been there. My first entry was taken and submitted in (anod of) a Kahlua fog. But, at least it wasn't a nude.

Now I can't wait to find out which one is yours. You'll surely get lots of views on your profile. Good luck!

LOL, more power to you, I say! I think we should have a "Get sloshed & shoot something" challenge. :-D

I just barely escaped that fate myself. I had originally snapped this exact same pic , but sans jeans. I was all set to submit it since it really was not that revealing, however realized that when I did a search for my name on yahoo and google, that my profile on here was the first thing that came up. So basically anybody that ever wanted to search my name would have had access to it. Realized really quickly after that, that I should unsubmit! :p

Well JayWalk, I don't think that would have been so bad - it's a pretty good shot I think.

I've taken a fresh look on things today (despite any negative vibes) and realized that I'm lucky to have such an open, honest, and generous forum through which I can make BIG mistakes and try to learn from them. SO, I guess I'm trying to be happy about the fact that my average score will probably now slip below 5.0 again - after I struggled so hard to increase it (and yes, score isn't everything, but having a general consensus that your work is good IS a very nice thing). It just gives me more to shoot for (pun intended) next time!

I'm still struggling with the whole D&L thing - how could that challenge theme be any more innocuous! I'll need to really delve deep to come up with a legitimate entry there (Oh wait! Deep & Legitimate! LOL). Anyway, just wanted to cry out again and let anyone who is willing to listen that I'm still not giving up! ;-)
