Here's my understanding of these formulas: Based on the 'DPC age', it calculates that a very active member would have entered 'X' challenges, cast 'Y' votes, made 'Z' comments and have 'W' forum posts.
Whatever number it comes up with, its possible you could have made more than that, which would result in numbers above 100%.
If he wanted to avoid that, the formula would have to assign 100% to the most active member in each category, which would make all other numbers percentiles.

| I was particularly concerned about a category which appears (but probably doesn't) to indicate someone has entered more than 100% of the possible challenges. Hopefully there will be further explanation later on. |

I guess it's quite difficult to work out the exact number of challenges a user has had the opportunity to enter, as there hasn't always been two challenges a week and there have been many additional members challenges.

That's an interesting point, shouldn't threads killed be considered participation? There are a few other activities that a person contributes with as well:
Threads started -- a bit more of a participation than just contributing to one.
Images in portfolio, tutorials, 'How I did that's, reporting posts, pressing the update button, being a member, being site council or admin, writing the site code. :)

Shouldn't this statement be corrected to read that the lowest "Total ranking" is the person who has participated the most? Otherwise you are equating quantity with quality.

Thanks Scott for working this out - it's completely unfathomable for me maths wise but then so is 2 + 2 :)
I was worried I wasn't giving enough comments but this has just put it into perspective so I just need to give more votes and try to enter a few more challenges!
At least this puts up my forum entries :)))
