The results are a little skewed for me, unfortunately, since I've been registered since Feb. 2, 2002, but only just started participating in June of 2004.

It makes me look like a horrible, horrible person. LOL

So this is regarding site participation. I get that part but I'm lost after that... anyone care to explain?

Basically it take the sites age (todays date - onset date) and compares it to your site age (todays date - registered date) this gets you your seniority which will weigh on other ratings.

Challenge rating- is based on your seniority rating (how many challenges could you of entered vs. how many you did with a weighted scale based on your seniority rating.

Vote Rating - is based on the total entries to all challenges weighted by your seniority rating. Basically the longer you have been a user you have had time to enter more challenge.

Comment Rating - is basically the same as Vote rating.

Forum Rating - takes how many times you have posted / by the number of days you have been a user.

The best total ranking someone could get would be 5 (5 factors *1). The user with the lowest "Total Ranking" is the best in site participation.

EDIT: THEORETICALLY

It not without its errors. It is very hard to take everything into consideration such as low numbers of entries back in 2002 and high number of entries in 2005. I'm still adjusting the formula's to address that issue as well as the issue that R-users can't vote as much as M-users.

The way the voting and comment rating can go above 100% is the same as production. The way the weighed scale is set up it takes in account how many days you have been a user and how old the site is and takes the total entries and formulates what should be 100% if you surpass that then you go over 100%.
