I give out a lot of talks that I never thought I would need to.
In this case it was twin 5 year olds discovering that women could breast feed their babies, animals can too, etc. There was a small nipple obsession after that. They're very functional you know?
A few days later as I took a bath, she entered the room and says "Mom, can I see that nipple thing...........I said "Uhhhh, it's not like you haven't seen them before" and then I asked her to leave so I could take a bath in peace, she walks over first and stares hard at a nipple and says "whoaaaaaaaaa, those are soooooooooo cool". (said with the type of awe that only a 5 year old can possess)
These are the kind of things that I think happen only in my life, lol. |
When my son was 10 yrs old he started asking his mother questions about the facts of life. she referred him to me.
me: "Well, let's start with what you already know."
son: "I know a man and a woman take their clothes off and get into bed."
me: "What do you want to know?"
son: "I wanna know what goes where?" |
I would have probably been speechless at that point. I've been pretty lucky that two of our kids go visit my ex and he has a ranch. They know how animal babies are made so they had a vague idea that it might be similar so I didn't have to break anything too shocking to them. I kind of led up to it and also talked about puberty, etc. and then I lucked out and my MIL gave me a book for kids about where babies come from. Tastefully done, but the people are naked! That was kind of like what I used to make sure they really did know where they came from. |

I think a nude angel is a GREAT idea!!!!
Who says they have to have some white flowing robe??
Can't wait to see what comes with the Nude III challenge. I finally got my perfect shot today. I'm so pleased, I don't think I can wait til Sunday night. WOO HOO.

Did my shot today, i think its one of my best shot to date :-) Now hopefully the dpc voters think so too.
Here is my entry to the last nude challenge, it is still one my all time favourite shots.

| I changed my mind about the naked angel, I tried taking pictures of my 3 year old Nathan, but like any 3 year old boy, when you take off the underwear they start to explore...you know what I mean? Back to the drawing board! |

Sure, as long as they're tasteful, don't show any genitalia (just like adults), and are generally kept to a very "innocent" look.
The problem you'll run into though, is that voters won't vote even great shots of kids very high at all.. you may get some DQ requests from some purists, and mayhaps a bunch of nasty comments.. depending on the shot. Very young babies are the only children that tend to do okay in this type of challenge, I've noticed.

| Well he is only 3. IMO that is still an innocent age to photograph nude as long as his twig and berries aren't showing. And it matters how he is posed of course, nothing sexual. |
