Thought I'd share.. If you don't like cute kid stories, tune out now.

Some of you will remember my 'The cat wandered into the light tent' thread, which I'm sure the animal lovers were shocked at.. Well.

I was taking some pictures of Phoebe's toys to go in a flip-book photo album for her to play with:

For which I'd set up two small soft boxes, and a white paper background..

Phoebe decided she had to join the toys...

What was more amazing is she was quite happy to sit there for about 10 minutes with the flashes firing every now and then when I managed to get her to look at me. I even managed to adjust them and get this nice shot (IMHO):

Although it's always hard to setup lights when Phoebe likes playing with the light meter:

And when I tried to get it back, I wound up talking to the hand:

C&C welcome, but I was really just sharing and caring. The flip book came out fine as well, BTW.

"Phoebe and the Photographer" A simple but effective story by young author Chris Kiwi, describes the antics of 3-year-old Phoebe as she explore a studio and learns about the work of a photographer--eventually taking center stage among the lights. This story has the potential to be the start of something big--possibly filling the same niche as other popular youth/adult relationship stories like "Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat." No, it is not unreasonable to hope this will develop into a series of popular works! Other work in progress is rumored to include a flip book of toys to amuse the youngest reader. Keep your eye on Chris Kiwi as he may rise rapidly to the top of children's favorites!

One bump for the evening crowd, seeing as I posted it at the wrong end of the day for the US. :-)

Very sweet. It's totally something my 3 y/o would do...she'd want to join her friends in the photoshoot.
