You probebly know how you have this question in your head when you dont know if to touch the phot or not.. well i just discovered the "flood plug in" and play with it a bit with my photoes.. i kind of like the result and its really fun...
i just want some advice what do you think is better.. the Original..or Flood...
here is the first..
and
i know its really different.. but is it too fake?
how about this one..
and
i also thought i had to crop this one.. compose was too high.. no?
finally the last one..
and
now.. DPC made me or let say encourage me with digital art..
i didnt like it so much and i never think about it when i shoot..
so... what do you think.. is digital art good for us?
thx

IMO, the versions that used the flood feature were better. More interesting and dynamic.
Where can this plug-in be found, which Photoshop is it for?
(The shots were really good on their own, btw. Flooding just enhanced them even more!)
Edit: With a bit more thought, I'd add that the exact replication of the sky as a reflection can look a bit fake, as in the second one, where the wave is refelcted exatly. I would caution you to use this, but use it sparingly and only in photos that won't mirror find detail, like the wave.

Left you comments on them.
In first two no flood IMO. It's not adding anything interesting to the photo except for some kitchy feel.
In last photo - it works better.
POersonally, I wouldn't use the flood to make just some reflection. I would only use it to create some surreal feel to a otherwise boring feeling.
Here's a good example of that, done by Kylie:
Just my two cents ;-) |

I enjoy Flood and find it's best when used to subtle effect. The kissing couple is a perfect application. The first is neat, but probably delves quite far into the realm of "art".
Here is an example of Flood in my work. The first is a crop of how the river really looked (it was fairly clear), but I changed the picture to a flood reflection because my vantage point did not allow the entire building to be reflected... (note I left the buoy in the reflection to add to the realism)

1. Be aware that the adjustments in flood allow you to get very subtle in your effects; learn to use them wisely and the unreality quotiernt is minimized.
2. In shots liek the kissing couple, where the waves "rohrsach" each other in perfect symmetry, jusdicious application of the clone tool after flooding will eliminate the symmetry.
These are pretty good examples of using flood to advantage IMO.
