Hey all!

A friend of mine has a HP Pavilion zt1180 notebook computer that I am thinking about buying. Now, I don't want to ruin our friendship over this so I need to find a fair price.

It is a PentIII, 40G hard drive, 496 RAM, mobile CPU 1200 MHz 1.20 GHz(?) with a CDRW/DVD ROM and a wifi card to connect wireless.

I have google searched everywhere, including eBay! Any suggestions of sites or a fair price would be greatly appreciated!

$750 is what you would pay Dell for about the same computer:

By the time you pay Dell to ship you are at $800. I am assuming the friends comes with all the software. How long it has been used plays a major role also. Also a computer drops in value faster than a vehicle. I bought a Dell laptop when 500mhx was max on a laptop for $2500.
One year later sold it for a whopping $500. I would guess and say maybe woth a max of $700 and that is probably too much but once I know how long she has had it and used it then I can better guess.

Depending on use (again, as others have said), I would say it's probably worth about $500 max. Your friend is not going to get more than that anywhere else IMHO. By this time next year, it'll be last month's news. Just my 2 cents...
