I'm headed to DC next week...any good suggestions??

Hi Tom, You might check out this thread if you haven't seen it already. DC Night Tour. A few of us met up there last weekend and there are alot of photos in there to give you an idea of what you may want to see for photo-ops anyways. I didn't get to see nearly all the things I wanted to but one of my suggestions would be the WWII Memorial and Union Station. Also the Dupont Circle area has some great buildings and parks and people for photos too. From the little I saw of it, DC is a beautiful place. Have fun.

people watching in dupont circle was by far my favorite activity.

There's really no shortage of anything you want to shoot (unless it's mountains or ocean). People of all shapes, sizes, colors, socio-economic backgrounds, etc. Shops for everything under the sun. Museums, galleries, botanical gardens, memorials, statues, a zoo... What are you interested in? I'm not trying to be a smartass, I just know that some people like shooting landscapes vs people vs urban life vs animals and there are places in and around DC to do any of them. :-)
