This is allready the 4th time I pull an image out of the challenge before voting has started.
I realy wanted to participate in Affluence with this shot
Sorry picture removed from the tread.
But because I am on holiday in Thailand, and don't have all my stuff with me and only have a cheap laptop with strange colors to do the pp I pulled it again.
I still would like to share it, so here it is. Any comments?
PS: It's not an outtake, because I am not in this challenge.

Its a nice shot, but my question to you is this.
What are you showing? The girl, or the jewelry? If its the girl, ok, nice.
If its the jewelry, then there are some issues of soft on the focus and composition.
Just one person out of thousands, and my opinion is strictly mine.

I dont mind the composition, it's just the jewellery that hits me is the bracelets, and they are too soft! Bigger DOF perhaps! The model is nice. |

As far as I know an outtake is an outtake if you are IN the challenge. I'm NOT!
And who made that rule anyway?
Why, don't you try to ignore these then? It's so simple....
There's also no explanation to why.. Just, don't post outakes and a bump......
But OK, I will comply to the new rules and don't post any pictures in treads anymore.

What are you afraid of?
Just submit and check the results. You can't get better (..and you are already pretty darn good) if you don't submit, stick with your submitted image and then receive your results. |

I left you a comment as well. And jump on in - the water's fine! Sure you'll get hammered by a wave or two, but it's a thrill swimming with the sharks all the same. And when you finally catch that perfect wave... Kowabunga, dude!

Thanks for all those nice comments you people.
I did not know of this new rule about outtakes, so I removed the photo out of this tread (it's still in my profile, I hope there's no rule against that.

I'm not against outtakes. However, a prior thread just requests that outtakes not be shown during a challenge. It's quite interesting hence Faidoi's request of not posting "Affluence" outtakes. My two cents.

Put it back. This is just a thread asking for comments on an image. (And the SC hasn't locked it)

There is no rule about this, and you can post if you want, however some people (incuding some SC members) do not agree with it until after the challenge, out of curtesy towards the photographers who did enter the challenge.

Sorry picture removed from the tread, it seems to be forbidden acording to rikki11
to post any outtakes
But because I am on holiday in Thailand, and don't have all my stuff with me and only have a cheap laptop with strange colors to do the pp I pulled it again.

It's not forbidden nor did I ever say it was. Look at my responses. It doesn't say anywhere that it is forbidden. It was requested on the initial thread by Faidoi. |

Lock it, I don't want to get into a fight, let's have a happy forum instead. Sorry if I have done something that others don't like...
I allready pulled the photo... The tread has no use.
Just lock it and leave it like that.
No hard feelings |

That would have scored well in Affluence IMO. Don't be shy- you're a VERY good photographer with no reason to doubt yourself.
As Ben said, there's no rule against posting outtakes. Given the frequent off-topic images shoehorned into challenges, ANY photo posted in the forums could probably be considered an outtake for a current challenge. |

Why post any images in forums to get comments when there are several images in the ongoing challenges to be voted/commented on. Adding images to the forums just adds to the large number of photos demanding attention.
Just playing devil's advocate. (and I just feel like stirring the pot this morning -- and I've had my coffee)
;oP

Sill I like to appologize (spelled wrong I guess) I do not read all treads in the forums, especialy while on holiday and Dail-up (yes DPC is not realy great on Dailup ;)
I'm realy sorry if I have offended someone in anyway.
Rikki11: Sorry I got a bit carried away with editing my post...
PS: All those great comments allready made my day.
I'm happy, and sad (about not entering) and now I have to go to sleep (in 30+ celcius still)
Greetings from warm Thailand. |
