once its in there, you can click on it and put it into galleries, enter info about it ect

Hi and welcome to DPChallenge. As a registered user you do not have a portfolio area so you will have to load you pictures on another site. If your ISP offers webspace, most usually offer 10mb, you can upload them there and link your picture in the forum to your outside site.
Here is a forum tutorial that explains how to link from one site to another.
There are some free picture hosting sites out there. I would try to google it and see if you don't have a webspace to load pictures.

When you become a member, you will be so glad. It really gets to be a pain in the a** uploading pix to other servers and linking to them. Being able to use the portfolio and receive comments is invaluable IMO.
The entertainment and educational value of this site is well worth the meager membership fee.
Welcome to DPC. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Thank you :-). I am now reasearching for a site until I become a member. After I find a site, do I just go to galleries and start uploading? |

I think that tutorial link posted by SDW65 will tell you what you need to know about linking images.
Here is a site that I used before I became a member. It was easy to use.
flickr.com
One faux pas that a lot of us have committed is posting giant images in the threads instead of thumbnails.
Another tutorial I highly recommend, if you have PS is Using Photoshop to Prepare Photos for DPC Challenges
Have Fun!

Due to a bit of criticism of me talking so much on forums and NOT being a member...I dipped into the pension a little and became one! Hopefully a couple of people will now be quiet!

Only photos that are stored on DPC are in the galleries. You're still welcome to share your photos in the forums, either by posting a few thumbnails or a link to your site/gallery elsewhere. The tutorial SDW65 posted will explain how to do this. |

I'm poor as a churchmouse so I got creative to pay for my membership. I sold 6 giant water bugs (found at a friend's dock light) and 6 Eastern Lubber grasshoppers (found in my yard) to an insect hobbyist online.
The money went into my paypal acct. and straight to DPC.
