Finally... I have my 70-200 f/4L Canon zoom... Pix tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Damn, it's impressive looking... and not too heavy at all.

I'm in the fondle stage now LOL.

Nikon should make something inbetween the 70-200 f/2.8 and the 70-300 f/4-5.6 -- for the same price as that 70-200 f/4L...craziness.

I maybe putting mine up for sale on eBay tonight. Have not decided yet. Love the zoom but I think I will be better with a smaller walk around lens of good quality. Don't want to part with my 70-200mm f/4L but can't afford to keep it and buy a good smaller lens.

Are you kidding? That 2.8's lens hood is bigger than my coffee cup. (And I drink a lot of coffee)

Seriously, good for you Bear, go forth and shoot well. You'll enjoy the heck outta that monster.

edit: to clarify...after coffee ;0)

Makes note to self: Buy cable release/remote, learn to use mirror lockup. (First shot with 70-200 4.0L at 200mm, f/10 @ 1/15, ISO 100)

have you received your tamron 28-75 yet?

07/26/2005 02:54:56 PM · #24
Does your lens have a image stabilyzer? It's very sharp at 1/15 sec. Incredible! And a thread explaining about mirror lock up would be fine also :)
