I played around with a new look. I bought a hair piece and BIG eyelashes. I was trying to get a self portrait that didn't look like me because I do not have a model. I was going for a 50's pinup look. What do you think?

As a big fan of Overexposure, I have to say that #1 is quite apealing..however #3 is very cool compositionally... choices, choices, choices!

and also... you have a stunning Jaw-line (something I find perticularly photo-friendly) and the profile in #2 reveals it... so you'll need to do some Morphing!

I think I like the first one the best due to the look in your eyes, but I like the muted, soft colors in the second one.

I'd like to see the first photo with the eye colour painted back.

I really like you the way you are. These photos do not help my beautiful image of you that I carry around in my head!

Hi Mandy~
I like the first and third ones better too. The middle one is nice too but maybe if it was cropped like the third with the color it would be better. Just my opinion. ~Roni

Edit:P.S. You look nice as a blonde.

I think they're all great! But if I had to choose, I'd choose 3, 1, then 2. I really like the composition in #3 and the soft, overexposed look of all 3. Very cool shots (you're a very attractive model, so it'd probably be difficult to take a bad one). ;-)

Very good work. I agree #1 and #3 are best--but 2 is pretty good also.

You might try a selective desat on #3, leaving the eyes blue. I'm not a big fan of that technique, but I can see it working here.

I don't know about the 50's, but before I read what you had to say I thought it looked like Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha on TV's 'Bewitched') -- so your probably not too far off. ;)

My fave. Beautiful eyes and you have a uniquely pretty and familiar type face. Maybe a little Kathleen Turner-ish.

There's a bit of Bjork in the first one. I like that. My favourite is the second one as well. You seem to be good at this :-)

Hmm.... I like the high key nature and overall tones of the first. I love the eyes of the second, and the texture in the 3rd. Why couldn't you just make one good one instead of 3 good ones??? ;-)

Looks to me like you've found a stunning model. You should beg and plead for her to work with you some more. (yes, I know it's you ... but obviously you haven't met yourself yet because these are great!)

Thank you for all of your comments and complements! I am so flattered! I do get tired of self portraits though. I think a friend of mine is going to let me photograph her, for free of course. You know, I do look like Samantha on Bewitched! I never thought of that before. Some people tell me I look like Posh Spice when my hair is its natural color (dark brown)
