I'll adopt him, send him to college, and introduce him to her:

I have the same kind of camera as Joey - can I play? Huh?

And I thought being 3x older than him would be points in my favor - I was wrong - only means I'm three times older....
LOL

Odd that you guys should be arguing about the camera when Joey himself is undeniable proof that it doesn't matter. Let's get back to heaping praise, shall we?

I say that without asking his permission, we turn his talents into a publicly traded stock and promote the hell out of him. I figure that given the right environment and means in which display his unencumbered brilliance, he is one heck of a promising bet. It may be wise to secure an autograph as it may not be as attainable a year or two from now.

Yeah.....this sort of talent scares me! ;-)

Nope, I mean interests and appearence, I remember my alternative lifestyle when I was in my late teen, I can see (and fully respect) Joey's non-mainstream tendencies, and a make a wild guess at what he might prefer (although I don't discount the idea that I might be miles out) :)

No doubt, serious props here for Joey.

Very creative and talented guy.

I would venture to say that Joey's photographic visions are less the result of his eyes, but to a much greater degree from within his soul. While many of us are looking for photos to take, he is staging and assembling them within his mind. This is probably one of the reasons that the kind of camera he has in his hands is of less value than many of us esteem. What he possesses is the true wedding celebration of artistry - the marriage of goal inspired inner vision and compatable outward technique.

I agree entirely. I spend so much time agonising over what photos to take for the challenges and hardly ever seem to be able to come up with a good idea. Perhaps youth is a benefit here. Hopefully he won't outgrow his creativity.

I think its got alot to do with good family living. Most kids today and adults are so different than 20 years ago. Guess what I am trying to say is keep it simple, when your young. I admire you Joey.

I can remeber a time when I was younger and like to draw..but I let the things around me draw me away. Never let that part of you go! And 40 years later I picked up a paint brush, and painted and people ask me if I went to school for it. Yeah right lol. So just keep them wheels turning young man. You will go far!

Peace-Mark

Hey everyone

I was very surprised to see this thread, and smiled again and again with each comment!

You Nikon-VS-Canon guys are thilly, we all know I want to be movie director and am saving for a better computer so I can edit video first, then after that I'm going to get a better camera! :-)
I've been saving all year, and I'm almost there... Far away from a new camera, but that's okay... I like putting Brad P to shame. :-P

Very ironic, you'll have to wait until certain challenges are through! ;-)

I'd contribute to the 'Get Joey a dSLR' fund as long as it's a Nikon and he drops in for a beer when in England :)

I don't drink beer, but sure!
