Oh, See I did not know that...Do you know why that is?

Nope... I just think they want to see where the price goes before they bid on it. If you go click on "My eBay" it will give you information about what you are selling and if there are any watchers. This will help you to see what the interest level is so far.

From a bidder's perspective, why bid early and drive up the price? Better to decide how much you are willing to pay, and put your bid in at the last minute (literally). Don't reveal your cards before you have to.
The term for this technique is "sniping", and there are entire for-profit websites built around providing a "sniping" service.

I sold my F717 on Ebay when getting ready for my 20D. I only put the camera, 1 extra battery, 1 charger, and 1 bag in the auction. Started the bidding at 50 cents! The lower you start the bid, the less fee for insertion....set a minimum sale price of $350.00. The camera was 2 years old, approx. 8100 photos, and ended up selling it for $575.00, which...was over $100.00 more than I paid for the camera new! Then the shipping was $25.00 and it cost around $17.00 to ship..so that netted me another $8.00 Good luck on the sale...just depends how bad someone wants the camera what they will pay!

I paid $899 for my 717 new. Thats without any memory cards or other stuff.
I cant see selling it now, Used 300D's are going for 500 range.
The resale on used camera's is really low IMO, and its not worth it.
With all that stuff you are probably selling it for at least half of what you have invested..

I paid $1379.00 for the camera, $206.00 for 256 MB memory card, $45.00 for small case, $400.00 for the other accessories....Total of $2030.00
So I am selling not even close to half of what I paid for it! Sucks!

Hey there Melking
As a long time ebay user, and since you were complaing/asking why you weren't getting more bids, here are some things i think could help
first, you could start the bidding at $1.00
Cameras and such things NEVER go underpriced, or unnoticed... it isn't going to be fogotten and end up at $10.00, it is going to get just as high or most likely higher if you start at $1.00. The reason being people get auction fever.. and bid higher on an auction they have allready gotten themselves into, rather than find a new one. if you start your bidding so high that only 2 or 3 people get in on the action... it doesn't make much for bidding wars.
Also using paypal buyer protection is also something that gives people to bid with cofidence, especially since you only have 23 feedback rating.

I know ebay has the most viewers/bidders on sundays so try to make the listing end on a sunday. it will go out for quite a bit higher too.
what size threads do the filters have? I have it on watch because it would be a step up for me. when i get a new one im giving my Z1 to my 9yo daughter jessiroo who is also a registered user here and i am curious if she wil be able to use the filters also.~~Cher~~

I'll be watching the bids for sure... It's almost time for me to upgrade from my Gateway DC-T50 5.25MP. :-) It's a good deal right now. Time will tell how good the deal will ultimately be... Thanks for the heads-up!
