After about 8" of rain and a couple tornadoes this afternoon, a few sink holes formed around town...

Yep, we had a couple touch down here last night as well ... now we can all just sit around and wait for Dennis to make it's way to landfall.
There was quite a bit of damage here, but wasn't able to get out to take any photos. Those are some huge holes!!

Good Lord........its a wonder someone didn't come speeding down the road and get swallowed up.
I haven't seen a sink hole that big since the day they miscalculated the charges in the mines back home and made a good part of a street disappear.
What would have caused such a shift???

Well, looks like some storm-drainage re-designs on the way for good ol' Hickory. Hopefully, they were caught before anything bad people-wise happened...

Anyone in the direct path of Dennis? I'm in Panama City....we evacuated for Ivan....I really hope we don't have to evacuate for Dennis. Each time we check online for the path...it seems to be going back and forth between Panama and Pensacola.

yikes! Hope nobody was hurt in the sink holes or in the tornadoes

I don't think anyone was hurt due to these sink holes but there have been injuries from the tornadoes. I listened to the police scanner from home while it was going on. I didn't get out in it myself. I'm not that interested in making photos :)
