This fellow was flitting around me today and I caught a couple of shots that seemed to work. CC for Macro appreciated.

edit: Handheld with the only lens I have sigma 28-135 aspherical..sigh..someday!

Thanks, not sure what kind he is, but his facial markings are quite unique.

That's a good one Ron! I don't know what species that is, but I took some shots of his relatives two days ago.



These were taken handheld at the Bronx Zoo with a Canon 70-200 f/4L lens and 31mm extension tube.

These are all great shots. Will leave comments. But I have some Qs. What lenses where these captured with? Handheld? How did you manage to get so close without disturbing these wonderful creatures?

Nice catch, the profile I wanted but could not get DOF to cooperate.
