Please check your email, I have included an attempt. If you like it you may post it for others to comment. I will then make up a tutorial.

Do you have PS7? If so, use the healing brush (band-aid tool) and it's easy to smooth out the wrinkles. : )

I do not have Photoshop of any kind, but gprinsloo fixed it and it looks awesome!! I want him to do a tutorial because he did a great job and I want to know how.

You do not need to change a thing!

A couple more variations. It's a nice pic and fun to use to try portrait work.

You said you tried everything. What photo editing tools do you have? Maybe I can use yours and explain what you can do to 'fix' your image. Be glad to help if I can.

You are quite attractive already... be it for me to suggest you might just consider cropping out the neck if that is your only concern. Close cropped portraits are very popular these days.

You look fine the way you are. I think a lot of us get caught up in the you should look like this person in the magazine. I personally like portrait left without removing imperfections. They give character and without that we would all look the same and life would be pretty boring if we all looked the same.

YOU NAILED IT. I wouldn't want to look like a plastic-michael jackson-figure! Damn that sounds scary!

I wholeheartedly agree with Rex. You look great as is! (Such beautiful eyes you have my dear!)

But since you asked, here's my take on it (with very few modifications):

It is a very nice shot and as Neil says it is just fun to see what one can do with a Portrait. Here's my take:

Used Digital Image Pro 10 Remove spot/blemish to remove just a few wrinkles (got to leave some so it doesn't look faked) then applied slight diffuse glow to lighten and/or remove a few more unwanted shadows.

All of your examples are GREAT! It is much better than I could ever do thats for sure. I use a Roxio Photosuite program, there is no healing brush or neat image. I am very limited to what I can do.

I am not obsessed with my self image, I just hate those wrinkles on my neck, I think they age me. I don't like it and there is nothing wrong with that. I would never do anything permanent to change my body in any way (like plastic surgery), but I am not turning in to Michael Jackson people, this is just a snapshot portait I took of myself. I really like how it turned out except for the neckline.

I am really impressed with what the DPCers can do with a photo and want to learn.

Thank you so much for responding to my thread!!

Instead of trying to remove them in post-process, have you tried modeling tecniques to help prevent them from being captured? For example, when shooting, raise the camera a few inches above your eye level, forcing you to raise your chin a bit, turn one shoulder away from camera, forcing you to turn yout head, might even try sticking your chin out a touch to sretch the skin. Hope that helps :)

I will try that! I had rather take pictures of other people, but its good practice to try different lighting and poses on myself first. I will try different angles, or maybe just wear turtle necks.

How did you get my skin to look like that? Can I do that without photoshop?
