Hi all -I just revamped my website and could use some feedback!
//www.titoi.com/
The splash page sucks, I know, but it's the galleries I'm more concerned about, please let me know if it works properly for you, nothing breaks, etc. I have a ton more photos to upload, but this is at least a start. Thanks!
BTW- I know that "home" and "about" have a different spacing than the rest of the menu, that's cause they're not actually a part of the menu- I'm still trying to figure out how to get the spacing to work correctly.
And if anyone is interested, I used Coppermine and a heavily edited version of the "kaki" theme.

Looks good.
The reason the home and about have extra spacing is because each of them are on their own table row | . The others are in a shared table row.

Yep. The rest of it is part of a pre-generated menu, I added the first two. So I'm not going to be able to get it exactly right without a bunch more tweaking.

Ah- thanks for that. All I have at my disposal is my 15.4" running at 1280x800 and my husband's 10.2" running at 800x600. The entire site is too big for his laptop, but it looks good for me. I'll look into upping the caption size tomorrow.

Great stuff on your site from a quick view. I will get back for more later. Site looks fine to me though when I was going through one of the galleries the navigation icons drop down out of their boxes....a bit of a distraction from your wonderful images. |

Whoa, that's one I haven't heard yet... where does it happen, and what browser are you using??
Thanks!

Looks great. Worked well for me.
Was also very fast.
As you said, the splash needs some work.
Replace images 2 & 4, the others are great.
Maybe add the macro of the flytrap plant, and the colluseum in Rome for some variety.
Edit Typo:

IE 6.0...I was in three galleries: Portraits, Nature and Latest Additions. It happened in each but not on every photo...and the pattern of when they drop appears random. |

Yep, I was just able to get it to happen on two different images- they're below their boxes when the page loads but when you mouse over them they hop back up into the box. Is that how it's happening for you?
I'm going to contact the guy that wrote the theme and ask about it. Thank you for finding that!

Actually, if I was keeping the splash image at all, I'd leave it as is- I prefer to concentrate on portraits and those 5 are *my* favorites (for now). But it's kinda moot, I'm going to redesign the splash page (and the about page) today to look more like the galleries and the image will probably go altogether. Thanks though :)

A couple of nit-piks after a quick peek. Alt text for mouseovers on images to show some text instead of the filename. I only went to the 'About' page via Splash/Galleries (index). Once I got there I wasn't sure how to get back (obviously, the browser back button works) - the only link I found took me back to the splash page...would have preferred to go back to the galleries. My initial 2 cents. ;^)

Thanks for that! I'll have to see what I can do about the alt text- not sure there's a simple fix for it. The splash and about pages will be completely changed today anyway, so those will be dealt with ;)

The links at the top of the page work to go back to the Gallery page. |

Okay! The splash and about pages have been completely ditched. Sorry banmorn, I couldn't get rid of the andihazelwood.com graphic, I like it too much ;)
But now the whole site looks much cleaner and better integrated. Lemme know what ya'll think. Thanks!!

Very nice. Worked well for me. Would like to see more EXIF data on the great pics.

Me too! Unfortuately with all the processing I do, PS thows away most of the exif data when I save the images for web- so what would be available would be so inconsequential or worse, incorrect, that at this point I don't think I should add it. Plus, while I know it's possible to do so, I haven't yet figured out how ;)
