This was an outtake from the bird challenge...
How would he have done ???

I think it would have scored fairly well, somewhere between 5 and 6. Since Birds was an Advanced rules challenge, I think it would have helped if you had cleaned that bit of white off the top of the beak.

from experiance i would say you wold have scored low
I do not mean to say your image is bad but DPC'ers are evil when they vote :)) |

I tend to agree with the other commenters here. It probably wouldn't have done better than a 5 or so (IMHO). Again, not that it's a bad image at all - I just think that in an Advanced Editing Challenge, a lot more is expected from post-processing. I think you could clean up the white fleck on the beak and do something about the eye (it almost looks like it's red-eye from a flash, as opposed to being that color on purpose). One other thing is that the entire image is pretty much the same color - not as much texture or depth as you would expect from layering in processing.
Just my 2 cents...

This is just a quick take on what I was trying to describe (not a real good effort, but I think it may roughly illustrate what I meant by processing & depth).
Whaddaya think?
