Thanks, I needed a good laugh.
I tried something that I've never done and it's showing in my score. I could've done more with it, but being "basic" rules... Anyways, I had a really neat experience taking the photo though.

| Based on the quality of photos and scores posted here and other information you may have, what do you think would be the range of scores of the top 10? I'm guessing 6.3-7.2. Or am I scoring too high? |

I am totally gutted! I have entered the best pic (IMO) of any challenge I've tried before. It's up and down like a YO-YO but still is only up to 4.5. It is sharp, no noise, interesting, in focus, has colour and the title is OK SO WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT???? 94 votes and not a single comment. I can only think voters do not like the subject matter or can't see the link to darkness (crystal clear to me and very strong link) but I just don't know.
PLEASE COMMENT when voting especially if you are voting low. I don't mind being told it is awful as long as I know why.
I think I'm going to cry!!!

Wow don't cry! It is not worth it. Many people vote first then go back and comment later. The last challenge I got people who who said how great it was and it was even someone's favorite! My first vote was a 4. Then I played the yo-yo game for the next 19 votes, eventually winding up at 6.15 with 20 votes in. I went to bed on that note. I woke up to 5.76. Now, some 8 hours later, I'm at 96 votes and 5.46. I have 6 comments, half of which love it and half of which hate it. That's DPC for you... you never know!!! ;o)

I am happy with the photo and you are right, I took it for me to feel I had got the photo I wanted for this challenge but I just don't know if I am learning anything because the only way I can judge (in an unbiased way) is via the percentile and mine seem to be going down!
comments especially constructive critism is sooooooo useful.

I feel so conflicted this week. I'm in two challenges and one is nearing my all time high and this is nearing my all time low! That is a spread from 6.86 to 4.6! In Darkness I have gone from 5.7 to 5.0 and now I'm at 4.7. In Birds I started at 7 and now at 6.8
Gotta love this place! Build you up and then knock you down. LOL
