already isolated now I haven't a charged battery and charger is in Arizona...wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Not much help but just in case you didn't already know -- your 20D comes with a BP-511A but the BP-511 will work; and, I think, the BP-512 will also work. Same batteries power the Rebel, the 10D, and several other Canon cameras.

Find a camera store- ask the nice camera people if you can borrow their charger for a couple of hours. Most of them will say yes. :)

clara i already tried that...this is boonies remember..lol i miss my camera store ritght around the corner..;-)
and coolhar my friend...didn't know that..remember i'm 'mere mortal' with bad habit (love taking pics and not worth hoot at it)

Maybe someone in MS could give msdoubletrouble a heads up on a good camera store. Any dpc'ers in the Jackson or Starkville areas?

Maybe you can call those and find out if a nice manager will let you charge your battery. It's worth a shot. The worst they can say is no, or maybe hell no. I bet they say OK though. ;o)
