We went camping this weekend. I got up early yesterday morning to go deer hunting. Here are a few of the deer I shot (photographically speaking, of course!):

And this will give you a little more context of the surroundings. This scene is just over the hill from where I spotted the deer:
(Note: The small image here, and especially the thumbnail, do no justice to the real image which is 11 photos stitched for a final resolution of 12294x3221)
And this scene was to my back as I was taking the 1st, 3rd and 4th pictures above:

Oh, I wanted to show this one just as a fun shot Friday night... 30 second exposure for the night sky, flashlight inside the tent and a laser pointer writing the name of one of the kids on the outside of the tent:

No time at all! Seriously.
I had started up the mountain without taking my camera out of the bag (doh!). I had kneeled down to take my camera out and when I stood up there was a deer right in front of me. Scared me as much as I scared it! Off she went... but it didn't take long for me to find the others.

Camping where? No locations on your photos or message. Or is it a secret? Beautiful place! Great photos. |

Beautiful shots! I think my favorites are 2 & 4 (I love the action one of the deer jumping), although they're all quite good. GREAT capture with the laserpen in the tent too!
Somewhere in Utah? Nice work.

Sorry about not giving the location. I can't remember the name... It's in Utah, south east of Spanish Fork (other side of the mountain).

Did you by chance get a picture without the writing on the tent as well? This is a great shot I think! It reminds me of one that I saw in a magazine (cant remember which) where a guy took one, while hiking in Alaska, outside of the tent which was lit up in the middle of a blizzard. Very cool! |

I think I know the one you are talking about. Now that was an awesome shot. I don't think my picture is even in the same league (too dark, too much noise).
Anyway, here it is without the laser writing (this was my first shot, at 15 seconds, so it's not as bright as the other one even though I've lightened it a bit in PS):

Looks beautiful wherever it was taken. I'm fortunate I only have to sit in my backyard and watch them maul (grrr!) my roses to death!! One had the cheek to poke his tongue out, well he was eating the apples off my tree.

This one does appear to be darker. If the first one (with writing) was too dark I couldn't tell. I'm using a laptop too....and I think it's much brighter as I can see things that other people can't sometimes. But I do love the first shot! :)text
