I took these last week at Isaac's school. Anyone think any of them are worth putting up as prints, with or without additional editing?

I like number 3, but I would crop it closer, eliminating the leaf in the lower left.

I left comments on each pic. Nice work!

Thanks -- maybe I'll make it a square crop then, I like those anyway. |

Here is a quick thought - didn't play much with color only positioning

That crop-layout works pretty well. Do they need work on the color? I'm good with tone ranges but my colors are often "off" a bit -- a consequence of having a red-green color defect. |

Thanks everyone for some very pointed and helpful comments (especially the one pointing out where my mask still needed more editing!).
Note that these were all uncropped for evaluation purposes; I am usually a notorious cropper, and agree with the suggestions which were made regarding these.
I have some others which were taken against a gray (concrete) background I haven't started to edit yet ... I'll try to put those up along with these revisions tomorrow.
Expect to see them as 4x5 and 8x10 with a "tasteful" border -- the little ones are "very cheap." |

Real nice General. Did you ever smell the butterfly bush flowers? Eww they are stinky to me, but butterflies sure like them. I had one in Oregon that was just huge.

Thanks -- I kept my nose out of there this time. This bush is at Isaac's school and is about 8 feet tall. |

Nice photos...I like butterflys, so detailed. Can you tell me how to extend that border on the bottom like that so you can put details there etc. I have Photoshop CS 2 |

Thanks -- I just used the Canvas size command, first enlarging it all around, and a second time positioning the selector in the top-center block so it only adds along the bottom. |

With this last one, I don't care for the background as it's distracting from the butterfly and flower. In my opinion I would destaturate the background. It would bring out the objects of the picture more. |

I actually tried that too -- it didn't seem to work as well -- but maybe I'll give it another go.
I just like playing around with the colors like this, and I thought the effect rather mimics the patterning of a butterfly's wings -- I know it's not to everyone's taste. Maybe I'll try desaturating this "distorted" version ...
