As an option for those of you wishing to save $$ during this weekend...
You can purchase a membership at your local science museum and get free admission to Discovery Place and the Nature Museum and $1 off admission to the IMAX film.
Family membership purchased at (or through) Discovery Place is $75, but I can get a $40 family membership at Roper Mountain Science Center in Greenville, SC and still get the free and discounted admission. There's something like 256 science centers and museums worldwide that have a reciprocal agreement with membership, so this may be worth looking into, especially if you live near one and have kids.

Just thought I'd throw this out there...

John,
If you get enough definates, would it be possible to get group rate admission to Carowinds? Would that be cheaper than buying the tickets 3 days in advance? I know the advance tickets are $32, but I couldn't find a price for group rates. From what I could see, if we did get group tickets, one person would have to purchase them. Would that be feasible with this group?

Well, I'm stil interested, but it may come down to a question of can I afford it. I'll keep you posted, and for now, keep me as a tentative yes.

I need 5-8 commitments for the weekend before September 23. There is another event I would like to attend the weekend of this GTG... If the interest in this gathering isn't high, I'm going to bail out in favor of another event...
